Extra Extra Fine (EEF – 0.45 mm)
Produces an exceptionally fine, precise line for the smallest handwriting and detailed work. Ideal for note-taking, technical writing, and use on lower-quality paper where minimal ink spread is desired.
Extra Fine (EF – 0.5 mm)
Best for small handwriting, fine notes, and detailed writing. Ideal for everyday use on most paper types.
Fine (F – 0.6 mm)
A smooth, balanced nib for daily writing. Slightly broader than Extra Fine, offering better ink flow with good control.
Medium (M – 0.75 mm)

I own several Kanwriters LEGACY ebonite fountain pens. Without any doubt, is my most used pen. The Ultra Flex nib is an outstanding EF nib, and the BB Architect is a joy to use.
The filling system is reliable and swapping nibs it’s quite easy.
I recommend you that you buy one Legacy and a set of nibs to swap. The big points from Kanwriter are really good (B, BB, BB Architech).

This pen is delightful and remarkably dependable. I purchased it in February 2023 with an ultra-flex nib, and even now in March 2025, it continues to perform flawlessly. The design, allowing one to fill the pen body directly with ink (eyedropper fill), grants an extraordinarily long writing duration. It has lasted me entire exam seasons without needing a single refill!
The only slight snafu was the extra flex nib, which showed minor flow inconsistencies. Fortunately, a fine nib was also provided free of cost in the box, so I simply switched to the fine; and it has been serving me well for over two years now.

I won’t be able to write with any other pen after trying Legacy. The medium nib writes like Sailor’s and has a bit of a bounce that gives nice line variations. The medium nib is like Japanese medium and not European medium, which is exactly I’d prefer.

Wonderful design, balance and smooth nib. A great perfect fountain pen for regular writing comparable to most everyday use classic pens from any company around the world. Would also appreciate if the company improves the name engraving/ etching to aesthetic level (uniform size for every letter, straight in line & centered to the clip and the cap) keeping to the international standards.
